NationalPIN is designed around source preservation and provenance. Postal records and geographic/place records are retained as separate source datasets, while relationship and fusion layers connect records that can be matched reliably.
Postal data
Postal records can include PIN code, post office, office type, delivery status, circle, region, division, district, State / Union Territory and coordinates where a trusted source supplies them.
Geographic data
Published place records can include place name, alternate names, place type, district, state, PIN code, descriptions and coordinates when available. Missing fields are not meant to be guessed.
Use the correction form if you identify information that needs review.
